Beckham's Healthy 1st Birthday Cake Recipe



I created this healthy cake recipe for Sofias 1st birthday and it was a success, I did it again for her 2nd birthday, and now... time for B to celebrate his first year with it too 🥳


It’s so simple & delicious too!


INGREDIENTS

- 1 cup of flour of choice (I did almond flour this time also love quinoa flour)

- 1 teaspoon of Baking soda

-1 teaspoon of cinnamon

- 1 ripe banana

- 1/4 cup of Milk of choice (I do almond milk for this)

- 1 egg

- 1/3 cup unsweetened organic apple sauce

- 1 organic unsweetened Greek yogurt

-avocado or coconut oil in spray or oil


SIMPLE STEPS


1. Mix the following ingredients in a large bowl:

- 1 cup of flour

- 1 teaspoon of baking soda

- 1 teaspoon of cinnamon


2. Mix the following ingredients in a second bowl

- 1 ripe banana

- 1/4 cup of milk

- 1/3 of unsweetened applesauce

- 1 Egg


3. Pour the second mix into the first bowl, and mix well


4. Apply avocado or coconut oil onto the circular nonstick bake wear (so cake does not stick) and pour the cake mix in


5. Bake for 20 minutes at 350 degrees


Repeat for second layer. Or double the recipe ingredients for a bigger cake with no layer in between!


HEALTHY "ICING"


Simply cover the cake with unsweetened Greek yogurt (or coconut yogurt, or chocolate if your kid is older).
