Because of its proximity to the equator, Hawaii's weather is warm all year round with daytime high temperatures ranging from 78F to 88F. So visiting any time of the year is great!
However, there IS a rainy season: from November to April. The driest months are June/July, and the wettest, end of November & December. I wouldn’t necessarily avoid the rainy season, because rain comes and goes quickly, but avoid the rainiest weeks if possible as you’ll have less sunshine.
I would also recommend (as always) avoiding holidays such as summertime (off school months, since Hawaii is such a kid friendly location), as well as Thanksgiving, Christmas and Easter holidays.
Of course, not everyone can avoid holidays since time off work & school is limited. But if you can, you’ll be avoiding crowds AND getting better deals.
The best time to visit Honolulu is from September to early November, with ideal temperatures, less rain, and less crowds!
But honestly, you’ll have a wonderful time anytime you go. Just be open to rain & more crowds if you go on those months!
