We’ve done the LAX—> Barcelona itinerary with Sofia six times already, as a baby & toddler, and these are my top tips for a smooth flight and to makes things easy on everyone.
1. Night flight, so it’s during her full bed time and she sleeps throughout, plus they dim the lights completely and everyone is quiet
2. Three seats, she has her own so she can sleep alone and I don’t have to hold her sleeping for 12h, and we have the whole row which is nice
3. Pack tons of healthy snacks for her, for the trip & airport mainly so she’s full and can sleep throughout without waking because of hunger
4. Bring her pijamas and two thick blankets, so she is comfy sleeping in the plane like in her own bed
