How To Improve Your Egg Quality

Did you know, we are born with the eggs that we’ll ever have? We can’t make more.Nope, you can’t stop your body from releasing eggs to maintain your egg count, even while on birth control, you still lose eggs.

But you CAN improve your egg quality through diet, supplements and lifestyle. And you should be working on quality ideally at least 3 months before you start trying to conceive.

Here are a few ways:

1. No cigarettes. Smoking speeds up egg loss and chemicals in the cigarettes mutate the DNA in a woman’s egg cells, making some unsuitable.

2. Minimize alcohol and caffeine intake. High consumption of both can cause poorer quality eggs.

3. Manage stress. Stress can produce hormones such as cortisol and prolactin that can interfere with ovulation, which hinders egg production. Include stress-managing activities such as yoga, meditation, exercise…

4. A balanced whole food focused diet full of plenty of leafy greens, whole grains, lean meats, nuts, fresh vegetables, and fruits. Stay away or minimize trans fats, refined carbs, processed foods or meats, and sugar.

5. A healthy weight. Being overweight or underweight can also alter hormonal balance, disrupting ovulation.

6. Boost blood flow. Good egg health is aided by oxygen-rich blood flow to the ovaries. How? Aim to drink 64oz of water each day & move daily.

7. Invest in high quality, clean supplements that are created to boost egg quality and support your reproductive system. I recommend:

  • My complete prenatal code LAURA for 25% off the single bottle (subscription automatically has a 25% off monthly applied) its clean, complete, and x15 more absorbable. 100% natural, no sugar added, and has everything you need for pre conception and reproductive health.

  • CoQ10 This one is clean and absorbable too!

  • Inositol for hormonal balance

  • Omega3 DHA only if you don't consume 3-4 servings of fish per week. This one is tested for mercury and absorbable! All of these above are high absorbable and clean. Of course, consult your medical team.

8. Stay away from endocrine disrupters. BPA, phthalates, PHDEs (the toxins found in cosmetics, packages, toys, carpet, paint, pesticides…) they can interfere with hormone production and it can impact egg quality too.
